I'm pulling down a tb42 and noticed the oil bypass valve in the oil filter housing is damaged!! Does anyone know how to replace this valve. I have another tb42 sitting here that i can swap it over with. Does the whole housing come off??

Thanks

James

Sorry I can't answer this one either, but i'm sure someone on here will have the answer.

When you get a chance, post up an intro about yourself and your rig in the introduction thread. Members are more likely 2 help out when they see an intro posted.

Cheers

I have just taken a pic in case people don't know what i'm talking about. This is not the damaged valve.

I ended up going to Nissan and having a look at their parts diagrams. It seems to be a press fit and is only $20 to replace.

It's a small part that many might miss but if it's faulty in the open position, most of your oil will bypass the filter and not be cleaned.
