Have you ever used anti-sludge liquids or sludge dissolve procedures?

Quality of our diesel fuel is the worst so specialists in service recommended me to make some times the anti-sludge procedure by own hands. So he was not interested in this extra job.
I bought a one of the liquids with good recommendations (all of them has price 15-25$), and made the procedure according to the instruction like on scheme,

but left the car with liquids inside the cylinders for a whole night (not for 1 hour as it is written in instruction). When I first time start the engine it has a lot of dark smog with “awesome” smell, after 10 minutes of idling the smoke disappears. I didn't see any difference "before" and "after".
I’m not sure should I do it sometimes or not, because I use good quality oil and its must protect my engine from sludge.

Mate i'm no expert but many years of playing have always said to me that diesels are dirty bast@rds at the best of times, my era (1990) and doubt its had too many treatments over its 500,000++kms its done and touch wood is still going strong

Personally, I would not do it. I think if you use a good oil and maybe every 30,000-40,000 kms do a crank case purge, with a product like Seafoam, you will be fine. Given the compression pressures and exhaust temps, I don't think you will find any sludge inside your precups or piston cylinders.
