1) Warm the engine and transmission up.
2)Put it into drive with foot on brake and accelerator flat to the floor.
3) Check to see what the maximum revs are e.g 1800 or 2000rpm etc. on your tachometer
This is your stall speed. Do this test as short as possible as it produces a lot of heat.
If you know what your lock up speed is meant to be and it revs past it or just revs up to redline then the torque converter maybe faulty.
