Hi all,

I noticed on my TB42 GQ (carby) when I was doing a coolant flush and moved my air intake ripply hose out of the way, about 5 cracks opened up on the air filter side of the hose.

So now I am mostly drawing air from the engine bay :(. I did plan on putting a snorkel on in the future, does this involve replacing the air intake hose anyway? And if not, where is a good place to look for a replacement. I tried google and Ebay but got nothing, perhaps I am calling it the wrong thing.

Cheers.

Your snorkel
Only goes to your primary air filter the rest remains. Try a wrecker or nizbits here under the vendor section for genuine nissan parts

Thanks mate. Got a feeling it isn't the stock setup as I just went over to my dads and he said it is different to his SWB GQ. Looks like it is modified to clear a dual battery?

Wonder if I could use some generic tubing of some sort?

Can't see why not, as long as it fits & you can seal it then its doing the job.

Just go for something thats heat & solvent resistant or you'll be doing it again before to long.

Autobarn has lengths of flexihose that should do the trick!
