Hi guys and gals
was coming home the other day from melb
and the auto box started to make this high pitched
sound in the box like gears not meshing together properly
and promtly stopped,im guessing the torque converter has shat its self
we got it home thanks to steve and kat who we are very gratefull for there help

what to do
sell as is

or fix and sell98 ,4.5duel fuel arnt really sought after at the present time

even to trade in,they werent interested the best i was offered was $12,000

the worst was $5,ooo so the car yards and wholesalers dont want them

as i said what to do,, as i dont really need it any more,its for sale

its in good condition just a few pin stripes

not 100% sure but wouldnt a manual box be cheaper in these than a auto box? maybe convert it over and then sell. If you dont want it anymore im sure you will get more $$ for a rig that is working than not. Recently tried selling a rig that had a rooted box but could not sell it, as soon as i got it fixed i sold it for what i wanted within a few weeks.

Yep, I have a 2001 Honda XR trailbike, has 2500k's on it have been asking 3500 for it ( no rego ), needs prolly 100bucks spent on it for it 2 pass rego. I thought 3500 was pretty reasonable, Ive had one inquiry since it was advertised on flea bay and gumtree :(

to change over to manual would just as much as an auto with all the added pieces

Go to your local wrecker that has a GU. They may well do a drive in - drive out for an OK price mate. You dont really need a warranty, you just need the thing to run to sell.

i recon there aint no differance between the two,.... plastic/metal parts
both have heaps of both we been checking them out today parked side by side
