What Sorts of Sounds Should I Hear from the Turbo

At the moment I can hear a faint whistling sound from what I assume is the turbo when I go over 2800 rpm. Is this normal for my GU?

It helps if you tell us what model Patrol and engine you have, I just checked your intro thread to find you have an '04/'05 3 litre.
The whistling most likely is the turbo, if you had a boost gauge you could confirm this. My 3lt GU has a very quiet turbo whistle, some are louder than others. Does the whistle only occur under load?

Im the same as Tony. Only with the music off can i hear a whistle in my 3 liter. If you want it louder, stick another turbo on! haha.

I have a turbo whistle at idle from my 2000 ZD30, it's been rebuilt and has a Mike Vine Turbo Saver on it.
