Hi all,
Have a broken penhard rod on a friends 92 wagon Y60/GQ. From memory the broken one has a dog leg in it whereas most seem to be straight. I don't have much on its history so don't know whether its original or not. Just wondering if any 92's had penhards with doglegs, and if so will a straight adjustable or rigid fit. It's a two hr drive up the creek so just checking first.

The panhard should be straight mate on the rear and slightly bent on the front to clear the steering arm. Depending on lift height a standard bar should slot straight on (a bolt either end - relatively simple job). If he's getting a new one anyway, I'd suggest an adjustable one aftermarket as they are both stronger and accommodate any adjustment required for lifts etc.
Mines a 92 also.
Good luck with it mate!!

Thanks heaps Bigrig. Just what I was after. It's up the back of nowhere so nice to have some info before I venture off. Flooding now so its a job for another day.
Will let you know how I get on.
Thanks again

No worries mate - as said, pretty straight forward job - might pay to take spare bushes and bolts if you're not sure of the damage (that is, if he's lost a bolt/bush and that's why it fell off and bent, then good to have spares - wreckers are the best bet for this to get some cheap second hand ones ...).

Wise words Bigrig.
Cheers
Procrastinate long enough and the answer becomes obvious
