View Full Version : a GQ owning saffa in NZ, on an Ausie forum... god bless the global village

Gidday.

Thanks for the opportunity to learn from all the old hand and 'out of the box' thinkers on here... and with a little luck one day contrinute to others' knowledge!

Recently have acquired a 92 TD42 SWB GQ/Y60, after a variety of other 4wds (SJ413, RG73, XJ Cherokee)... currently running 33'' kumhos, factory rear locker, 2'' lift, custom bars rear & sides, snorkle, ARB bar with Superwinch... and a few minor under bonnet mods. Hope to post some photos soon.

Used as a daily drive in a small rural town, it gets a thrashing in the bush and on the beach. As such, the "vehicle development brain trust" (a couple of 80 series drivers) and myself are constantly tinkering.

Hope to catch up with some of you regulars on the various threads.

Isuzu Wizzard bent steering rod 3 hours from home... strengthened using tea-tree branched hoseclamped around the sraighten arm... the boy got out just fine. :-)
