Hi all been an owner of a gq patrol now foe a couple of months! Love the car but sadly now the head has gone. Which I will be taking off later today! Cant wait to get this back on the road.
And well i havent done much reading here yet but im sure i will find the info i need but will ask here also just in case.

The 89 gq patrol is a tb42 engine on gas and petrol and is an auto box.
What I want to know is if the p40 engine will bolt directly onto the auto gearbox? I realise the exhaust manifold is on the other side and that will be a hassle but also does the gq carby bolt onto the p40 manifold also or will my gas top fit straight on the top of this one? (same size?)

Thanks in advance to any answers and Hello to all!

I will be off reading somewhere! lol
