Hi all i'm hoping to pick up my new truck in a week or so. I took my cheap hella spot lights off my old Patrol with the intentions of putting them on the new one. The wife has just come to me saying I should just get factory ones fitted. Now I'm wondering if I should go with the factory ones, The lights that I have or something totally different ???

HID's mate all the way & no moving sideways on this either.

Absolutely smashing light power & in good quality lights can not be beet for power & bang for your buck.

They have to be seen to be believed how powerful they really are.

Absolutely second Patch, HID is def the way to go.. If your picking up a new patrol they generally come with factory IPF branded spottys which take to a HID conversion very well.. Something worth thinking about.. The IPF spottys the a good light in my opinion

Last time I checked Nissan were fitting IPF 900's as the factory spotlight. Not a bad light but the steel housings have been known to rust out.
As Patch suggested HID is the way to go, most spotlights can be retro fitted with HID bulbs which will completely transform the light output.
I do a lot of night driving for work and have a pair of Narva Ultima 175 lights with 55 watt 4300k HID inserts on my van, for a smallish light the output is just incredible and completely out performs my much larger Hella Rallye 2000 lights with 100 watt halogens on my Patrol.

HOLY COW... That makes it a no brainer IMHO... go aftermarket

A set of IPF 900's delivered to your door are $350 and a HID kit is up to $150 depending on power (50, 70 or 100 Watt)
OR
you can pay $550 to $600 depending on power and get them already modified for HID.
EG here is a set of 70 Watt HID IPF 900's for $599 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/70W-HID-IPF-900-XS-Extreme-INTERNAL-BALLAST-Spot-Spread-Driving-light-/110774557903?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19caad9ccf

Scum Bags!!!! Did ya want fries with that!

No Brainer mate, Nissan are upsizing you.

Go with ETs advice mate for a MUCH MUCH Better outcome. Even if your leasing the thing and packaging the thing then your paying basically a 100% premium to do that!

If Nissan did not make such a good car noone would go to them for anything. Most dealers are the same though i suppose.

Go Aftermarket mate. Trust me the lights that Nissan supply will not be special magic lights they will be what you can buy from anywhere they are just ripping you off!
