fuel pump

Hi was wonderin if anyone has had problems with fuel pumps, we have a 98 gu 4.5l petrol and are planning on a trip haven't had any problems yet but was worried if it goes how hard r they to replace ourselves since there isn't much room to move under the bonnet.:trink13:

Best advice here mate is to try not to run them under a 1/4 of a tank as there an electric internal job (there inside the fuel tank) & can fail if exposed.

Under the carpet in the back is a plate that is the access port for the fuel gauge sender, the pump is at the bottom of the pickup.
