Rear brake weight sensor

Hi guys, as some of you might know I have a 1992 patrol GQ and my question is

How important is the rear brake slave weight sensor that actually adjust the brakes automatically depending how heavy is the car, Can I just remove that ??

The rear brake bias valve is an integral part of the braking system which responsible for stopping brake lockup at the rear wheels so I would not suggest removing it.

Whats the reason for the question if you don't mind me asking?

I would say it important, wouldn't be there if it wasn't.

If you are modifying the vehicle's height, you also need 2 modify the bracket 2 suit.

I just simply ask because since I bough my patrol after sitting for almost 2 years outside and just by looking at it, looks like is rusted and block, now I might be able to take it apart and rebuild it.

I don't believe there is a service kit available for them but I might be wrong on that. I'd try cleaning up the outside as best you can & giving it a good spray with some lube & see if it will return to service.

If it doesn't you may want to hunt around for a S/H one. I've never had to buy a new one myself but I believe there quite expensive.
