Hello fellows, I am thinking on doing a rear disc brake conversion on my original drum brakes and I just would like to know which rotor from wich other car and caliper can I use that will bolt right in my rear bolt patterns, looking for a original rear disk brake diff but no luck at all after months and months or search.

Might it fact all I have to do is take out the drum brake wall and mount the rotors as well as welding a thick ("1/4 steel plate) to the housing tube so I can attached the calipers, after that is just a matter of connecting the brake lines and maybe a couple of adjustments but thatīs it right ??????

Any advises

Thanks

Gq rear disc`s are just hats which slip over the wheel studs. If you can find a couple of disc`s you might have a start.for calipers you could check out toyota rears. The disc wont fit but the calipers might go close. check the disc thickness against the caliper width.

don't know what it is like in Panama, but over here in Aus I think I'd be getting advice from an engineer, with a view to getting a ticket for the change, before starting - at least for an on road patrol.

What changes, if any would be required between the master cylinder and the caliper/wheel cylinder? Proportioning valve?
