Has anybody made a rear light bracket that attaches to the spare wheel carrier if so how did you mount it

Yeah John, not so dumb a question mate, A 10 R 15 desert dueller is a 31 inch, if you have say 265 65 16 's, they would be 31 inch as well.
A 33 is about 2 inches larger in diameter, so yes, 33 is the diameter of the tyre on the rim.
Hit me with what is written on your tyre and I'll tell you what size it is.

Tyre size is 285/75/16 I think they measure up at 32"

That's a 33" tyre.
265/70/16 = 3"
265/75/16 = 32"
285/75/16 and 305/70/16 = 33"
315/75/16 = 35"

Yep, 33, standard Ferret bracket will suit.

so if i change my tyres to 265/75/16 i would only be loosing at slight bit of ground clearance (top speed or accell is not a problem)

Hi John, you'll be losing approx 1/2" in clearance. Here's a nice little site for converting tyre sizes which might help you if you need it............http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp
