I am looking to convert my 99 GU 4.5lt to Gas. I am looking at using Adelaide Autogas in Pooraka and getting the Impco gas system.
Any advice on this subject would be appreciated.
Cheers

Well a quick update....
I have had my car converted and I am more than happy with the results.
After a small hiccup or two I am well on my way to enjoying the spoils of Gas.
Some lessons learned that I thought I would pass on.
As my Patrol was an early 99 model, I would need to change the sub tank to a long range version and use my main tank pump to pump petrol to the engine, as the pump in the standard sub tank was not strong enough. Lucky me I have a good pump and it does the job without a hiccup and no need for new tank.
When using petrol, you need to push the sub tank button to turn on the motor. Then accelerate as needed when switched on petrol. However pump will not run when gas pump is above 3/4 of a tank.
Gas fills alot slower than petrol or diesel, but is worth it.
Just a few things I have learnt so far.

sounds a bit dodgy to me the wiring from the main tank should have been rewired to the sub tank
thus no need to push the sub tank button also the gas unit needs a shot of petrol to start up and lubricate everything
i would talk to another gas mob or talk to impco themselves
