4.5 Carb patrol moves heavily

Hi everybody, i have a 4.5 L Carb 2002 model Nissan Patrol which is moving not as it should, there is no extra accessories or over weight, i have to keep RPM over 3000 and change the gear on 4000, does anyone knows about it?

G'day mmirkhah, if you get a chance to put up an introduction in the introduction section, we'd appreciate it - can be just a few lines about you and your patrol.

Now, does the engine stall/stop going below 3000 RPM? If yes, is that with the patrol in gear, in neutral, or both?

Is there a hot brake smell - if so could be handbrake or service brake stuck on - I had that problem once in my MQ, a split stick trapped the flexible brake line and pinched it closed.

Is the clutch slipping?
