Hey all,

Planing a Cape York trip next year and have a bit of a plan but not sure if we will have enough time.

The Plan:
Canberra-Majura-Port Augusta-Coober Pedy-Ularu-Alice-Tennant Creek-Mt Isa-Cairns-Weipa-The Tip - Cairns-Townsvile-Brisbane-Coffs Horbour-Canberra.

This is a rough idea of the way up with some main towns. I want to spend a couple of weeks up the Cape and take my time for the rest of the way and have a good look around.

My problem is I don't think 3 months is enough. Do I cut out NT and head straight up and take my time coming back?

Any one have any suggestions? Whos has done similar trip before??

Anyway, got to fly to work...thanks in advance!!

Hey Kris

Try joining these forums. My Swag has heaps of info and Gone Bush is relatively new but developing quite nicely.
Try RACQ and the Qld Govt website. They might be able to help too.

What a great trip, just awesome. Hope you can make it work.
It's allways a bugger driving past something interesting when you have a lot of K's to do.
It's a big country.
