2.8 top end noise

Hi the top end of my 2.8 has started to make more noise then befor sounds like tappits was wondering if there has been problems with the 2.8 before----- thinking its the shims or a hydrolic lifter shiz it self not to shor tho soon as i start it loud metlish noise cold and hot. rattel the worst when driving and i back off the throtel it goes realy rattely

Have you checked the oil level? Remote, but could be low and hence the rattle ...

How long since the timing belt was done?, it may be the tensioner or idler is flogged.
I would check it out ASAP. It could even be a "dribbleing" injector.
Does it blow white smoke on start up?

timing belt kit done 1500km ago - no white smoak on start up all good there - think it has to be shims- tappets or a stufft lifter ?

It won't be a lifter fer sure, the RD 2.8 has none.
maybe a broken valve spring or an exhaust or boost leak.

mmm ok it going in to nissan tomorow to get looked at hope it dont cost me left nut to fix-----
