hi guys have read some of the forums and found them very informative so i decided to join i am looking to buy a patrol aprox 2000 model diesel but am hungry for info on which one to buy .and if i buy a dead one what i can do with it , i am in my mid 50's and have a mecanical back ground but the patrol is a new field for me , i am hopeing to find some answers as to which model what motor and what upgrades to do as at this stage it is to pull my boat 5.8 cruise craft which i currently do with a 92 hilux V6 supercharged .but the grand children are growing up and want to come too

thanks for your welcoming words ,as the world of the patrol is new to me i am wanting to learn as much as i can while i search for the one i want .knowing a bit about them will allow me to buy the right one even if it is a dead one or a live one . am yet to find the hp files and hope to find all the good mods done by the members and the bad ones that i need not do thanks again tony

Hey Tony..... I've got a 2000 4.2 TD and am still very happy with it. We towed a camper trialer around WA for a long time when the kids were smaller and now that we've moved to the coast tow a 5 mtr Quintrex to the water at every opertunity...go for it!!!

forgot to mention I use mine to tow a big boat too and she does it with ease, even though i am actually alittle over recommended weight atm. 2008 crd but she pulls well above here weight imo...
