just wondering if anyone has gone down the supercharger route with the rb30? was going the turboed efi road but that took away what i was trying to achieve. low down torque is what i need without changing motors.

Well, from being a toyota maniac i would say the sc14 is was too small, people use them for 1.6 litre engines.

Try a mazda millenia supercharger, they are a much better design, and are off a 2.3 litre so they should be closer to the correct size if you use a slight overdrive pulley.

Also consider the rpm range of the vehicle, im not familiar with the 3 litre nissan so i dont know the rev limit but the mazda supercharger is a 3 to 1 step up, so for every one engine rpm the supercharger makes 3 rpm and has a limit to its rpm before its wrecks the teflon coating one the blades
different superchargers for different rpm ranges.

Hope that helps a bit ^_^

the eaton positive displacement supercharger off a vt xu6 would be the go it's an eaton m90 I think instant boost for down low torque compared to a powerdyne or other spool up superchargers

^ that would also work, both of the superchargers, the mazda millenia and the xu6 eatons could be found at the wreckers, i paid 400 for the mazda one, its a twinscrew style the eatons im pretty sure is a wipple style.
