sleeping giant

Hi my name is Brad.
Sleeping giant name was made up by another forum when i had my old car , a 1986 Mitsubishi Cordia. Back in 2001 when the old 1.8 sohc turbo had enough , i put a 2.0 dohc turbo out of a vr4 galant in. Thats pretty common these days but back then it was a big thing.
Anyway enough of the 2wd,
I own a 1990 ford maverick, 4.2 diesel which i bought about 6 years ago after getting the 4wding bug, when my mate took me for a few runs in his truck. The mav was stock, just with some 31" super diggers.
Back then started trying stockton beach a bit but the td42 didn't like it as much as me and overheated a bit from all the work. So on went a dts turbo kit. Problem solved.
Then a decent bullbar went on (Arb i think) . The old one would bend just facing a dirt mound or rough track.
Then a trip to wollaroo state forest made me get a snorkel quick smart, because the normal looking puddle on the track ended up going 1/2 foot over the 31" tyre and splashing water up near the intake.
Apart from some jungle trekkers and maintenence, thats how it is still today. Its a great old rig.
Thanks, Brad
