I have had good experiences with both shops and would recommend them to anyone in the forum for good service, honest (rare in the car game that's for sure! I've been burnt by a couple of place cough UMR engines cough) and very experienced and knowledgeable
Mechanics http://www.jwracing.com.au/ heaps or race experience and his website doesn't say he's worked on diesel engines at sherrin equipment. He also has bought land near by and building a new shop with a dyno hopefully.
4x4 http://www.torq4x4.com.au/
Can't go wrong with dave( old mate) from torq4x4 got a great deal on recovery kit and spent all weekend pulling toyotas and suzies from the sand on the inland track at bribie the patrol walked through it! Also great bunch of blokes and very helpful
On a side note I'm very proud of my fiance as she drove the patrol up there about time! she even managed to park it at the shops and gave it a bit on the beach she loved it and started talking about her getting a 4x4!
Anyway let the boys know you're from the forum and they'll look after you and may get further discounts
