Been thinking about getting/building a carputer for the patrol. I've got a friend that owns a pc shop and will look after us if we get a few units. There a handy bit of kit as you can run the Nissan DataScan, a full media center for movies, songs, gps and the net all from a 7" touch screen. Price will be dependent on numbers but around $500-$700 depending on processor and HDD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHuSX49dY7k&feature=fvsr http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERI3rrz4UY4&feature=related

these are a good idea, ive had them before in my sports cars, very handy to be able to link more than one display and have all the guage information from the cpu on one screen, and music selection on the other.

Hey peacemaker, do you have a list of the guages it can display and other functions?

Plassy have a read of this website re gauges http://home.exetel.com.au/nds/

Datascan is one of the few different software programs available 2 use, but you need 2 buy the cable as well

Thanks Todd. No ECU in the TD42 so does this mean this type of thing is a no goer for my vehicle?

mate I know nothing about a TD42 but it would have an ECU, the connection for yours would be OBDII I think

You should start a new thread asking this Q, as I don't want 2 hijack this one anymore than I have *L*
