Hello guys, its me again
I have problem, I am doing a conversion (long story) so to cut the story short I end it up using Nissan patrol´s MQ drive shaft front and rear. On the GQ front differential the drive shaft flange fits perfectly on the diff flange but on the rear the GQ´s rear diff flange is wider on the bolt holes than the front ones so my questions is:
- ¿ Can I find another flange like the front one and place it on the back diff so I can fit the drive shaft perfectly.
- ¿ Or can I change the drive shaft flange to fit the original GQ diff flange? and will it still use the same universal joint ? so all I have to find is either a diff flange or a drive shaft flange.
Or what do I dooooooo, Please help and advises.

If you can tell as what the engine size was in the GQ the diffs where/ are fitted to it would help us in advising you here.

Its an odd and rare combination (no so rare because a few days later I met a guy that had fit an SD33 none turbo into a GU body and chassis and works just fine) I have a 1992 GQ with a none turbo SD33 and original MQ tranny fit in it. All the modifications and hard work has been done and fit perfectly but at the last moment when getting ready to bolt the drive shaft..........I cross into this. The front drive shaft bolts perfectly into the front GQ differential as it was made to go there but not the rear one.
Please advise.

I need to know what the original engine of the GQ was before transplanting the SD33

OHH it was an TD42 diesel, and the transplant its done already all I need to do is bolt in the rear drive shaft but as you can read the bolt holes on the rear diff flange are wider apart than the drive shaft flange, but if bolts right in the front though.

I don't know for sure it will fit but you may want to take a look at the diff flange from an RD28 powered GQ/Y60 patrol ( this was a 2.8ltr diesel) they ran a smaller flange then the 4.2's & will interchange with the diff you have.(unless its a H260)
It may work for you.
