Auto Tranny Shuttering in Top Gear only

Hi Guys,
My GQ is shuttering after it changes into Top Gear at about 95km, any suggestions on what may be the cause and remedy for this please.:bowdown:

Just a suggestion mate have you checked the tranny oil while hot

Wayne as Roofy suggested check oil level, also smell the oil 2 see if it smells burnt, unfortunately your problem could be a range of things.

First thing I would check if oil level is ok and smells ok is 2 drain the oil and taking the pan off and checking the magnet for built up metal.

Is it happening as soon as it shifts into top? Could be an engine misfire under load?

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the input. I checked the oil and it was very dirty but didn't smell too bad, I picked up a Filter & Pan Gasket and installed them. It took about 6.5 Litres to fill, which is little over what I drained out. Was a bit of sludge on the magnet and some fine metal dust but nothing too concerning.
It seems to be running well now :049: fingers crossed. lol
