TB 4.2efi The good oil

Heading into a Queensland summer what's the better engine oil? 10w-30, 15w-40? full synthetic, mineral? Castrol, Penrite etc?

Any of the name brands are OK.
It's a 10+ year old TB42 not a race engine so don't bother with synthetics.
I wouldn't go any thinner than 15W40 or you'll be risking low oil pressure at idle.

I use penrite 10 - 60 W or 15 -60 i cant remeber Seems good for me.

Engine 8.2 lt Castrol GTX 20w-50
Transfer 2.2 lt Castrol ATF DX-III
Rear LSD 2.1 lt Penrite Limslip 140
Front diff 5.4 lt Penrite Hypoid 80w-90
