Hi all. Just joined as I'm in the process of resurrecting my GQ that I've had for 10yrs. I originally bought it to tow a boat that I've still got but haven't used for about 5yrs. I 2006 I bought an MGB and have been preoccupied with 'playing' with that.
The GQ has been used as a backup daily driver (too pricey to run around too much) but the other weekend I went up to Stockton beach with my son and a few old mates and it's performance in the 'sandpit' got me all enthused again.
So I want to sort out a few little issues with it and this place seemed a good place to start.
I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm pretty well stuck with the beast as It's worth a lot more to me than to anyone else and certainly wouldn't get it's worth if I sold it in todays 'tree-hugging' environment.

This is a pic from a few years ago.

Yes it is, it's the little one, 3ltr 4 banger. 1750 Bayliner, bowrider. Nice little day boat. Another thing I want to get back to.
