what would i need to do to convert my carbied tb42 to EFI. what parts would i need and is it worth it

You would need the complete inlet manifold with injectors, inlet ducting, air filter housing, wiring loom, engine computer, distributor, high pressure fuel pump, lines, hoses and filter and probably a few other things I have forgotten.
It's a big job and unless you can get ALL the parts dirt cheap and fit it all yourself it's probably not worth it. Better to sell your carby Patrol and buy a later EFI model.

For get it.
I had the rb30 and went the efi 304 v8. Not worth the stuff around.
Look for the 4.8 or a v8 and marks addaptor kits. There the common conversion these days.

could look into throttle body injection may be a cheaper option
