Hi all, how many members still check for posts?
Would love to see the forum active again and to have another get together.

I try each morning but most of the time it won't connect so I move on to other things.

Same here, I try to check daily but just doesn’t load (it’s not an internet issue on my end).
It’s a real pity as I did enjoy the forum.

Same, same. Probably works about half the time at best. Seems OK this morning.
{edit} then got "resource limit reached" when trying to post - damn it!!

I am here, maybe clock in a couple of times a day, however the 'latest posts ' functionality is hit and miss most of the time' as mentioned.

Forum content is decreasing it seems especially in updates on build updates or developments around upgrades for example. I am sure my dribbles on the Chev build are getting long in the tooth and bordering on white noise at times, however maybe they assist in some way - certainly not the intensity of value I believe during the cab conversion and engine swap builds. Not a lot of trip reports hit the press either now.

Just tried to submit and got a 'resource limit reached, unsure if this is the NP server or mine?

If the bugger loads, I usually check a couple of times a day to see if anyone needs a bit of help. It is hit and miss whether forum loads.

G`Day blokes.
I log on every morning but it takes a while to load. Most times its around ten to fifteen seconds. Sadly most of the old folks like me give up on the load times and just move on. Yep miss the old times and the good info and banter.

I check once every few days. I have a "Whats new" link to the forum on my hot bar. 8 times out of 10, it won't load.
I haven't been post active... But...
I've been doing a few things to the Patrol over the last few months and have been reading and leaning on a LOT of old posts and guides posted here over the years. There is so much invaluable info and guides, if you know where and how to search for stuff. Would be a such shame to see it all lost one day.

Funny, I was at Patrolapart few weeks ago, and wore the forum shirt. And a bloke in there was .."hey... where'd you get that shirt?"

Hi all,

So, it's not an internet problem at my end. I try to log in every morning.
Same as the rest, bugger won't load so I move on for the day

Ngarkat would be central

Ngarkat would be central

And Lake Eyre would be more central, but I don't really think that is likely to happen with the very strong Victorian focus. Maybe some localised meetups around the country as I doubt a national one is remotely feasible.

I haven't been here as much as i want to be. Life, and life issues getting in the way at the moment.

My Patrol hasn't been used in a long time. The only time it does get used it to go out and collect fire wood. Funny thing is. I though about this the last time i went and got firewood. My Warn Hi mount winch, to which i spent a small fortune on rebuilding and making it much stronger and better, has pretty much only being used to drag out huge sections of fallen trees to cut up. In the nearly five years i have had this on, i can confidently say i have used this for actually recoveries of other vehicles 3 timess and non e for my self. I've probably dragged out 20 plus trees with it though. Lol

I'm still here. Try to check the place as often as I can. Do get the loading issues others get.Good to see though, that we still have our long time members still here. Might have to put out an expression of interest to our Qld members for a meet up. We haven't had one in a while.

I do still have a gander now & then, but no longer on a daily basis. Not really sure what has happened since Patrolapart took the reins. I continue to post links to the posts I write on our Aussie travel blog even though our travels are no longer in the Patrol. Not sure if it carries much interest here now though.

I still read your blogs, Cuppa, If the forum loads.

I still read your blogs, Cuppa, If the forum loads.

There is an easy way to simplify that Mudnut - Next time you go to my blog look for the 'subscribe' option & put your email address in. All it does is ensure that each time I make a new blog post you receive a notification with a link to the post in it.There is also a link to cancel the subscription in each email alert should you tire of reading my posts & no longer wish to be subscribed.

For anyone else here who doesn't know, your email address is not 'harvested' for any reason & the blog is not an 'influencer' type thing. No monetization, nothing commercial at all. The only costs are what I pay myself, for web hosting. Just me, my wife & Aussie travels & adventure on a full time basis. Now into our 8th year.
