Hi all, bit of an annoying issue.

I've got this custom bull bar that was installed on my patrol (2013, y61) by its original owner. I am its 3rd owner and went to install these (https://www.ocamindustries.com.au/ocam-hd-recovery-tow-points-for-nissan-patrol-gu-series-2-on-red-pair-4wd-rated) recovery points on the car, but the underside of the bull bar has a metal plate that blocks the recovery points from fitting into place. See below:

Seeking advice on what the options are.

Does anyone know of an alternative style of recovery point that would overcome this issue?
Or is the only legitimate solution to either get a winch for recovery and/or a new bull bar that doesn't take up all this underside space?

Any tips or recommendations much appreciated.

That is a total bugger of a situation. Best arrgt is into the chassis so could be a day of jinking around to generate the connection if the bar needs to come off. An option may be to drill and tap the holes into/thru the bullbar plate and chassis, again its a chunk of work. Alternately is to modify the mount then get a shop to weld it to the bar directly, however will depend on how robust the bar steel section is and its mounting points. If its more a cosmetic bar the integrity is probably not going to be there.
