Hi, I'm new here on the forum and have a few questions about a 1999 Nissan Patrol TB45 petrol. I'd love to ask some people with experience.

I'm planning to check out a 1999 Patrol with 415,000 km tomorrow. The car is said to be well-maintained, and all the service checks are claimed to have been done. However, I'm concerned that the very high mileage might become an issue for me. I should mention upfront that I only plan to drive the car for about a year.

I know what to look out for when buying (though I'm open to any additional tips), but I don’t have experience with such a high mileage and wanted to get your thoughts on it. Do you have any tips or advice for me? So far, I’ve mostly heard and read that the car is generally quite durable if it’s been properly maintained.

Haven't heard any bad things about the TB45 engine. A friend had an old one and drove it around Australia.

Thanks for the message. I looked at the car today and everything looks pretty good except that it had a lot of rust on the outside and under the vehicle. The paint is not damaged but in general it was unexpectedly a lot of rust. Can this become a problem or is there anything important to know.

Sounds like it has spent time on beaches. I'd be walking away unless it is very cheap.
