Rear doors weather shield

I saw a GU Y61 wagon recently with a weather shield over the rear barn doors. This was not the wind/dust deflector which sits a little above the roof but was sealed against the roof to provide real weather protection. I have not been able to locate them anywhere - except for the dust deflector ones.
Anybody seen these? Know where they might be available?

Hmmm very interesting. Never seen them before other than the wind deflector you mentioned.
What's the point of them anyway? Not like you can crack the rear windows open, and they stop rain coming in. Weird.

I can’t even think how a weathershield above the rear doors works. Why would you even have one? I had a dust deflector above my Y61 barn doors and it worked a treat, but a weathershield sealed to the roof and terminating above the barn doors sounds completely useless to me. To be honest I’ve never seen one.

Brissieboy, that photo looks like a dust deflector to me. Are you sure it was totally sealed along the roofline?

I think maybe you are correct. I did not get to see it really close, just a brief look as it passed me - the pic is from my dash cam. Does seem a little redundant now that I think about what you responders have said.
