Having intermittent issues with starting (98 GU RD28Ti) (son has just bought car) where its cranks but wont start. Have followed old thread where members smash off the black plate on pump and wire ignition straight through. Thought this might be my solution but on inspection there doesn't seem to be this plate on my fuel pump. Only two heavy gauge wires as per photo attached - is this a different fuel pump than one with NATS control?
