Ute is at workshop for new brakes, pads and rotors, and engine mounts but now has additional problem.
When tried to start yesterday morning to go to workshop, had to continuously crank as glow plugs did not work and mechanic has confirmed there is no power to relay or fuse. First and only time this has happened.
Has anyone had this problem before and if so what is solution.

Page EC-11 shows that power supply to the glow plug relay comes from a fusible link. The control for the relay goes to pin 111 on the Engine Control Module.

Page EL-269 Shows the fusible links behind the cranking/ main battery. Hope that helps.

Thanks.
Ute is still at workshop but they said yesterday that they checked both relay and fuse. Auto electrician is supposed to look at it today.

Update. It appears that the ECU which controls glow plugs and fuel pump timing (not fuel volume as pump is mechanical) might be the problem. Unfortunately sparky can't get there until Monday afternoon.
I see Patrolpart hast new ecu for $1850 so I hope it only corrosion or similar issue on the wiring in or out of unit.

Update. Auto sparky replaced 2 relays as they were beyond repair. Running well but glow plugs still need a manual override switch they installed.
Off to Fraser tomorrow for 10 days or so and then to Temora for airshow on 19th October..

Another update
ECU also controls airconditioning, increases revs at idle.
Did about 5000klm on Fraser and to Temora with no problems and excellent fuel economy (as low as 12.1lp100k) Came back on New England highway and zero smoke under load up the hills although temps got close to 100 but EGT to 450. Both temps dropped as usual once over the top of the hills.
New radiator and bigger fan runs about 5 degrees higher than old one so normal is about 85 now.
New brakes are so good after the slow deteriation of old ones , so should have done it sooner.
