g,day everyone ive just bought a 1990 nissan patrol wagon,i dont know jack s--t about them so i have come here to learn a bit..im usually a bike rider but have decided that i need my comforts these days,i mean theres nowere to put anything on the bike and im nearly 50 now with a very crook back,i couldnt get in the mrs car but have found it easy to get in and out of the nissan..my name is peter and i live out near pt wakefield..i hope i made the rite choice by buying a gq ive always liked the looks of em..its a bit gutless its got an rb30 5speed manual on lpg.as long as itll get me thru the soft sand of a beach then im not really worried.allthough turbo charging does sound good.i thought this nissan was in good nick but i was just looking at the windscreen when i notiiced that the panel that runs between the sides of the windscreen and the roof it looks like a weld mark on both sides up high near where the roof meets the panels...?/would that be a factory thing i wonder or has someone welded my roof on:clapping:hmmmm i cant see anything else that looks like that...i really want to go look at another one now..talk to you all soon..

Welcome to the forum Pete,

Yes mate, that is just factory Nissan marks. They all have those marks...Built for toughness mate not for looks...haha

Have a look at the same spot but at the rear of the Patrol too...

Enjoy the forum!!!

Hey Pete, welcome mate,

The RB30 is a good motor that you can make get up and sing. It will take a turbo off a Commodore VL and there are guys around running good output ones.

Welcome here mate, enjoy
