Hi all.

New member from Sweden and my first post :) This is my Patrol, a SWB 2003 3.0di which I bought from a former UN officer who bought it new.

The car is in i relatively good shape, runs good but sometimes it looses power. Tried to clean the MAF sensor and it helped but only for a while. Don't know if i need to control the boost so I have bought a Tillix kit. My plan is also to plug the EGR and add a oil catch can. Maybe a new intercooler if I have a leak, I have not checked it yet.

I've had the car for 18 months and I want to give it some love now when I have some more spare time over.

Here in sweden they like to use salt on the roads so I will need to do some rust job. Both the front and the rear fenders have rust next to the sills. Under carriage looks good but the frame have also some rust. The interior looks really nice, back seat is new and the car has the "hat shelf" in the rear. What is cool also is that I have all the parts that came with it new, like all tools and books.

The reason why I bought this car was only beacuse I wanted to use it in the mountains in southern Europe (no EU) where I have a summer house. Problem is that I can't export it due to emssion laws, only if I move there. I was thinking of selling it but I it is too cool to not have it on the driveway or just drive to the wood and metal shop with it.

I will probably be writing here in this forum and asking questions about this cool machine so feel free to help me out :)

Welcome to the forum mate. That is definitely a cool Patrol! Shorty Y61s are extremely rare down here in Australia. Looking forward to more pics please.

That is a super cool model, and beautiful landscape. What is that hat shelf you mention? Any pictures of it?

Thank you folks for the welcoming words.

The "hat" shelf maybe is not unique but I have not seen any SWB Patrol with it when I searched for Patrol on different car sites here in Europe. I guess people has lost them during time.

A question for you Patrol veterans. The "STABI" button. Is that stock on alla Patrols or was that an option?

Here are som pictures of it :)

Absolutely beautiful! The hat shelf you mean is that flexible cover of the trunk area?

Thank you! Yes that is what I mean with the shelf, the flexible cover.
