Can I put body panels from a 2005 nissan patrol on a 1999 (specfically the rear ones)

I love my td42ti 99 patrol have had one since i was a kid. But I also love the 05 tail lights. I would like to know if the panels interchangeable. Or other suggestions. I would prefer to minimise panels cutting if possible.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi mate,

I have seen it done but its a big job. You would have to cut them in. There are some after market tail lights for the GU3 and earlier that dont look too bad.

Yeah I have had a look, and it looks like a job and a half.

The rest of the body pretty much can swapped out to GUIV. Including the dash. It all just unbolts and bolts back up. Still a big job. I helped a young bloke a few years back convert his GUII ute into a GUIV, inlcuding the dash. A lot of work for not much i think.
