I am struggling with my 1988 gq, re did the interior and painted the dash before this everything worked, now wiring issues are hurting my brain 😂
Issues is below ill try explain the best I can

Indicators don't flash drivers side stays on when I push the hazard button but doesn't flash
I've replaced hazard button, indicator stalk and flasher relay still nothing.
I cleaned all the connections with contact cleaner still nothing
I have power going to everything expect from the indicator stalk to the flasher relay
Other weird problem is when I turn my headlights om the tail lamp fuse blows straight away.

Am I missing something super simple or could I have bigger issues going on.

The wiring in this car has been cut and joined randomly everywhere I will be getting a new harness when I chop it into a ute but that won't be until next year so hoping to just fix the issue until then.

Honestly, its going to be a dodgy earth, poor connection or one now sitting on pait or a wire missed - I have been down this route with a complete cab off Dual cab body swap and its amazing what you cant see thats staring you in the face. Clear the mind, grab a can of beer and a fully charged torch and have a 'mums look'. Its a common issue, honestly.
