Hi all, I am planning on replacing my rocker cover soon. (2012 GU CRD) I have all the new parts except the injector tubes. I have read that these are a one use item. I have also heard that they can be re-used. I know that mine have never been removed so far. Whats the general consensus on this? I'm happy (not really happy but willing) to buy new tubes but would rather not if I can avoid it.

Cheers all, Brian.

They are recommended one use because the high fuel pressures that run through the lines. If it were me. I would remove them and assess the ends of the lines, they have a tapered section on them, if the taper is not damaged in any way, I would reuse them. Only because I'm a tighty.

If one leaks then I would replace it.

Another question. How tight are these things generally screwed down? Is there a recommended torque settings? Cheers.

I've reused the injector tubes multiple times with no ill-effect, just keep them clean. I replaced them after my last tear down for peace of mind.

I just tightened them as much as practical, nice and firm. Unsure of torque specs, there's none in the manual for injector tubes.

I bit the bullet and bought four new tubes. But I'll keep the old ones just in case.
