Hey all,
I have had this interesting thought for a while now. I think it would be great to have a thread of RPM's so that everyone can something to base there engine questions off.
I mainly would like to know were the RPM's are at 100kms.
This would be good to know, cause then we can see how different things affect engine performance.
For example:
3ltr GU no engine mods, 5th gear 100km/ph, 3,000 rpm.
Or you might have: 4.2GQ no engine mods 5th gear 100km/ph 600kg trailer, 3,200 rpm.
So yeah, it would be great if everyone could jump on this, cause i want to know if there is a common or uncommon consistency in our Patrol's.
Cheers. Jono

You will also need to specify tyre size and type and if you have changed diff ratios.

my GQ doesn't have a tacho, just a blank guage. I feel so left out :frown: i might have to go and fit a 7" monster tacho with a super bright shift light. Then i will be cool. :animierte-smilies-f

with stock 235x16 tyres does closer to 2800rpm @ 100k's/hr but little better power when towing.
