Just wanted to say hello, finally got myself into another GQ, its been a few years between owning the last one. The new rig is a beast with a stock LS1 conversion. Previous owner looked after the rig very well. More than happy being back in a Patrol.

What an absolute beast! My favorite color combo also!

Cheers guys, my previous wagon was the maroon over dark grey 92 Maverick, definitely a fan of the maroon on these patrols. Very happy with the setup body has 375k kms on it. The engine had a full rebuild 30k kms ago, she is pretty much brand new haha. Looking to either swap the factory 5 speed out for a 6 speed or chuck in a modified 5th gear ratio set so she sits under 2000rpm at highway speeds.

I have the Marks 4x4 5th gear overdrive upgrade in mine. It drops the revs significantly and the gears run silently, unlike the howling gearset of the 85% reduction gears in the transfer case. Highly recommend them, drops rpm to circa 1750/1800 on the highway. The kit went in without any dramas according to the shop that did it, but the transfer case needs to come off of course.

Hey Mate, did the Marks kit drop it by more than 10%? I'm currently sitting at 2200 to 2300rpm at 100kms.

From memory, which is fading it dropped from 2200 to 1750 or there abouts. Thats about 19% which seems a bit high, however with the torqu you have it should be ok. make contact with them.
