Hello everyone,
Newbie here and looking to get into a GU, but have heard some bad things about the engines going bang.
I am looking at 2006+
3.0 Turbo Diesel ST
so whats the go ?.... these engines are ZD30 right ?
are they any good if I get full service history etc ?
what to watch out for ?
Thanks in advance, and when I buy one I will then post pics etc and get right in there.
cheers

ZD30Di built after 2003 should be very reliable but still a good idea to fit boost and pyro gauges as a minimum to keep an eye on things.
ZD30 CRD is even more reliable, not sure when the CRD motors were released.
Have a read of this thread for more info; http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/showthread.php?4421-Caring-for-your-diesel&highlight=gren02
