introduction post,
Wanted to express my appreciation for the site creators and members, this forum has provided a massive amount of help while diagnosing and fixing the arguably trustworthy patrol!
I have an 02 GU Zd30di wagon.
- this car has served me well until NATS, incorrectly diagnosed as fuel pump. Replaced IP, diesel leaked into sump and almost turned into a Tesla. Now should be sweet have done injectors, leak off line and seals but the turbo did not survive. Still need to fit new one
recently bought a 1989 GQ TD4.2 turbo suv wagon
Tidy engine, no blow by with a kinugawa turbo. Has a valve issue on 2 occasions getting stuck until it clears itself up. Seems like it misfires and puffs smoke but comes good. Body needs some work but overall its a good rig. The exhaust was cut half way and melted the wiring harness to all rear lights and fuel sensor. The old manual wiring diagram found on this forum helped me massively. Have since had 3 custom exhaust made to fit
