Hey guys, I recently done at oil change on my Nissan Safari GQ automatic transmission, was running fine and now I only have first and second gear and will not shift a third and fourth. Any ideas what this could be?

Did you change the transmission filter? Did you use the correct fluid? What level is the fluid when hot, at idle on level ground. I hope you didn't try and flush the system. Check that you haven't knocked an electrical connector while you were working.

Yes, I changed the filter and I used dextrose 3 . I have tried more fluid and less fluid and on the mark where it is supposed to be but no luck. Have taken the pan off again and checked the wiring Everything looks okay. Have set my TPS to 0.60

Well that is the extent of my auto trans knowledge. If you download the manual available on this forum. There is a comprehensive fault diagnosis section marked as AT.

Hey mate, I've just done the same thing and am experiencing the same issue. Have you made any progress tracking down the issue?

I'm assuming from your 1st post that you've kept the TB45E auto trans with the TD42 conversion. How did you do the TPS connections with the TD42?

No I’ve had no luck yet. I have just pulled my valve body out. Will let you know how I go
