GU cabin blower fan trouble

Hi all, 2003, GU, ZD30. Fan control stopped working. I’ve checked all fuses in front of the driver’s right knee. Taken the fan out and it runs fine. Put in a new resistor and still nothing. I can hear that the AC kicks in when the fan control switch goes from 0 to 1.
I’d love some more ideas please.

Wait wait waaaait.
I’ve solved it.
It’s the bearings or the bushes in the fan. The resistor and fan control work fine but I need to give the fan a manual spin to get it going.
