Hi All - first time poster here

I have some paint chipping / peeling / bubbling on the wheel arches and plastic outer panel on the LH barn door on my '08 GU (images attached).

I am thinking of using the ColorSpec touch up from SuperCheap and following the sand, prime, base, clear coat process to tidy these up. Have never done it before though and wondering if anyone has used these products for a similar job or would recommend something else?

Any advice much appreciated!

Cheers,
Roberto

Could be done but won't come up anywhere near a pro job. If your happy with that, then go full steam ahead. Light thin coats, then spray some clear on it.

2-pak paints will always come up better, but does require the full setup. And they'll kill you.

If you're going rattle-can job, then prep, prep, prep.

If you can leave the panel in the sun or under a heat lamp until it's warm to touch, that's good.
Stand the can in boiling water until the can is warm as well. Shake it like it owes you money.
Mist coat first. This is literally as little as you can detect on the surface.
Follow the instructions for recoat-times, your next coats can be full thickness. But many light coats beats few heavy ones.
