Hi All,

Long time owner of a 92 Ford Maverick. Done 500K on a TB42 with Gas. Replaced the clutch recently and only got 496000 kms out of the first one :D. Most parts have been replaced/renewed over the years.

Son has a newly acquired Y61 with RD28T. He wanted to follow in my footsteps.

Thinking about getting rid of the gas kit and putting a petrol tank back in. Anyone had any experience doing this? Gas is getting harder and harder to find in my area.

Cheers,
Alex

Welcome to the forum.

Running dual fuel is a compromise. Some reading for the RD28 http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/showthread.php?41430-RD28-Important-things-to-check

Thanks mudnut. Just did a recon carby swapover so it is running much better. But have always chased the economy/power. Just when I think I have it perfect, it suddenly isn't :1087:

The next mod will be the "Y" pieces I reckon and some new hoses.

I have always tuned the gas by feel over many tanks of fuel. The best I've got is about 415kms out of the 100lt tank.

Cheers for the info guys.
