What type of grease do I need to grease the slide pins etc in the brakes? Will any silicon grease do??????

Thanks.

Interesting. Does it not react with the rubber components over time?

Have use moly grease in the slide pins for years (cv joint grease). Doesn't seem to bother the rubber pin seals
Tried silicone grease once and they gummed up before the next oil change - silicone grease turns to water as soon as it gets warm. A bit of spit could do a better job.

With my recent caliper overhaul job I used a tube of Bosch rubber grease. You can put it on everything brake related even on the seals and pistons.

I think Bendix ceramasil is also the best.
