Hi all is there a heater tap on a gu ? I am trying to get my heater to work !
Is there a tap on the water lines ? or does it run through the Heater core all the time ?
Also I need to check out the heater hoses are connected the right way around .
I might just have the flow and return reversed . after fitting a new head a while ago .
Winter is here and its cold .. hi from Canberra the frost is happening now ....

No tap mate. Well most of them. I think some of the later utes and CRD wagons had them. The tap will be on the inside under the dash. Take the hose off and try to blow through the core. If its blocked, have fun in changing it out. I did mine and just about the entire dash needs to come out.

If your keen and want to risk maybe having a coolant leak. Flush the system. But only use the Fleetguard branded Restore Plus cleaner. By far the best on the market. We sell this stuff a lot and works really well. Super heavy duty stuff it is. You can only find this stuff at truck parts places though. The car shops haven't caught onto this stuff...

I am going to try and hook up a pump and couple of hoses and pump it through with an independent supply to wash it out ...
I will put some of that in the supply . Thanks for the heads up . I dont want to pull the dash apart just yet . Replacing the head , water pump , Radiator , new fuel pump and injectors , is enough for the moment .
Thanks for your input . Your house is looking good hope we can all get out and enjoy our toys soon
