Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows how old you have to be to retire and get access to your super and can you still do part time work?
Just thinking that maybe I should try and do it next year and start going around this great country before I get too old to do it.
Got no ties any more, as both sons have left home and only me, the dog and cat here now.

Have a look at this and if you can go for it mate. I'll be doing same if I can, no point working till you're 70 and then can't do much after that(not all ofcourse)

My understanding is when you turn 55.

Now I don't know how old you are, but why wait????.

Off load the animals to the kids, (or you can always take them with you).

Just do it.....

If you are not at the age where you can collect your super, I am sure you could always pick up part time or casual work in your travels.

Best bet would be to call the company your super is with.

My parents were able to roll their super funds into an account that pays them an amount each year (monthly) tax free.

Plus they are are allowed to earn (part time work) so much per year as well on top of this.

They are over 60.
